1) During this unit I learned how to perceive the facial features differently, and how to apply them to my work. Noticing highlights, hair texture, bumps, and the overall structure of faces is what I've noticed particularly in this unit.
2) I wanted to draw an athlete that really inspires me in all areas (and is from North Carolina), so Michael Jordan is for sure that one. I started with the hardest part (his face) then progressed to his jersey (which was surprisingly easy given the texture of the paper). I like how his face turned out, I feel like it's very similar to his real look, but I think his face is a little wider. I'm really proud of how this turned out! (Sorry for no progress photos, they were on my last phone that broke)
